Minimum System Requirements

BCWipe Total WipeOut for Mac requires one of the following macOS systems to run the USB Configuration Wizard to create a bootable USB drive:

  • macOS Catalina
  • macOS Big Sur
  • macOS Monterey

BCWipe Total WipeOut for Mac can help erase one of the following Mac models (Intel-based and M1):

  • MacBook (Early 2015 or newer)
  • MacBook Air (Mid 2012 or newer)
  • MacBook Pro (Mid 2012 or newer)
  • Mac mini (Late 2012 or newer)
  • iMac (Late 2012 or newer)
  • iMac Pro (2017)
  • Mac Pro (Late 2013 or newer)
  • iMac (24-inch, M1, 2021)
  • MacBook Pro (13-inch, M1, 2020)
  • MacBook Air (M1, 2020)
  • Mac mini (M1, 2020)

To erase a legacy Apple device that is not on the list above, create the Bootable USB using BCWipe Total WipeOut for Windows.
