There’s a New Superhero in Town: Cyber Avenger
Cybersecurity gets easier to act on when you can picture it. That’s the idea behind Cyber Avenger – a superhero character Jetico CEO Michael Waksman introduced in October 2015 to mark National Cyber Security Awareness Month (NCSAM). The post first went live as a guest blog on StaySafeOnline.org, the awareness hub of the National Cyber Security Alliance.
Most people glaze over when a conversation turns to firewalls, keys and encryption algorithms. Home users, and plenty of business users too. A character who fights “Dr. Malware” and “Keylogger” with 3 clear powers gives people something they can picture and repeat at home. That’s the first step to safer habits, and, at work, to fewer preventable incidents.
