BCWipe Beta Is Out – Now with Search

Find Sensitive Files. Securely Erase Them with BCWipe.

You can’t securely erase what you can’t find.
Sensitive data may be scattered across folders, hidden behind unexpected filenames or stored in multiple copies. But how can you be sure you’ve found them all?

It all starts with data discovery.

The new BCWipe Beta introduces BCWipe Search, helping you find files based on their contents and securely erase them beyond forensic recovery with BCWipe, all in one workflow.

Features & Benefits

• Find Files by Their Contents – Search inside files using keywords or phrases, even when filenames don’t reveal what’s inside. Combine search terms with AND, OR and NOT to locate specific information.
• Search Across User Accounts – Find files stored under different user accounts on the same computer, giving device administrators broader visibility into sensitive information.
• Discover & Securely Erase in One Workflow – Find files that might otherwise take time to locate manually, then securely erase them with BCWipe directly from the search results.
• Check Erasure Results – See the erasure status of each selected file to confirm successful operations and identify any files requiring further attention.
• Keep Searches Private & Local – Search and analyze files directly on your computer. File contents are never uploaded to the cloud, and the search index is encrypted and stored locally.
• Save Time with Repeat Searches – Access your search history and repeat previous searches with one click to check for remaining or newly added files, without setting up a new search.

Who Can Benefit from BCWipe with Search?

From home users to IT professionals, BCWipe Beta with Search makes sensitive data discovery and secure erasure available on individual computers, including those operating in isolated or air-gapped environments.

For organizations that need to manage data discovery and erasure across multiple computers, BCWipe Search is already available with Jetico Central Manager.
