Updated BCWipe Can Permanently Delete Files On Storage Spaces In Less Time
HELSINKI, Finland - October 4, 2012 – Jetico, leaders in military-standard data protection, has announced that their popular BCWipe software to permanently delete files will now support Windows 8. This update to Jetico's state of the art wiping software features a time-saving solution to wipe free space on Storage Spaces - introduced in the new operating system to combine multiple hard drives into a single virtual drive.

In addition to the ability to securely erase files, BCWipe offers a convenient solution to wipe free space on Storage Spaces. Once the command is launched, BCWipe reads the disk configuration and analyzes Windows in order to exclude from the wiping process all unallocated space (or the unused portion of free space). BCWipe now only needs to run on the allocated free space, which may contain sensitive information.
In other words, as Mr. Waksman explains, "Less space to clean means less time spent waiting for the wiping process to finish."
