White House 'Wiping Clean' Computer Hard Drives with BCWipe Total WipeOut
Because this fact was published in the U.S. press, we can reveal that Jetico's data protection software was used in the White House by Bill Clinton’s administration. Before leaving the White House in 2001, the Clinton administration used Jetico’s BCWipe Total WipeOut to remove sensitive data and information from staff computers.
But according to Judicial Watch, Inc., political aides have ordered computer workers to first run the hard drives through a software program by the firm Jetico, called BC (Best Crypt) Wipe, which “wipes clean the drives so the next administration can’t retrieve any files.”
