Permanently Delete Files – How to Video
In this video tutorial, we’ll show you how to permanently delete files on your PC without the possibility of recovery using BCWipe.
BCWipe allows you to securely wipe selected files and folders beyond forensic recovery. It ensures that deleted data cannot be restored, even with advanced recovery tools.
Let’s begin.
Step 1: Open BCWipe Task Manager.
Click on the ‘Add Task’ icon. This will open a new task window.
Here, you can name your wiping task for easy identification.
Step 2: Select files to delete with wiping.
In the ‘Delete with wiping’ section, click ‘Add Files’.
You can now browse and select the files and folders you wish to wipe.
Add as many items as needed — BCWipe will securely delete them all.
Step 3: Set the schedule.
Click on the ‘Schedule’ tab.
Here, you can define when the task should start and how often it should run.
By default, BCWipe sets the task to begin as soon as possible and run once.
You can also choose other options, such as ‘At user logon’ or ‘At system startup’, depending on your needs.
Step 4: Choose wiping options.
Now go to the ‘Wiping Options’ tab.
BCWipe provides 19 built-in wiping schemes to choose from.
In this example, we select the Jetico HDD scheme, designed for thorough wiping on hard drives.
Step 5: Start the process.
When you’re ready, click the ‘Save and Start’ button.
The wiping task will begin immediately, securely deleting the selected data.
