Resetting password for the main Administrator
This article describes the process of resetting password for the main Administrator account.
The 'main' Administrator account is the first account created immediately after the installation.
To change or reset passwords for other users, do so via Editing user accounts under Administration → Accounts
As for the password for the main Administrator account, it can be reset as follows:
- On the computer where BCWipe Total WipeOut Server is installed, run Windows Command Prompt as Administrator.
- In Command Prompt, switch to the directory where BCWipe Total WipeOut Server is installed (by default, it's C:\Program Files (x86)\Jetico\BCWipe Total WipeOut Enterprise)
- Type in and execute the following command:
>java -jar server.jar resetPassword
The password will be reset to 'admin'.
Now the main Administrator can sign in with the 'admin' password and change it to another one under Administration → Accounts → Edit.
